• Virtually Angle grinder resistant: Chains are exposed and can be cut in seconds with a cordless grinder. TufLuck’s ground-mounted body and hardened locking pin is shielded and integrated, making it extremely difficult to access or cut.

It Started on a Patio…

How We Built the TufLuck Motorcycle Parking Lock

They say the best ideas are born in the garage. Ours was born on the patio—because the garage was full.

TufLuck started with a simple but frustrating problem: traditional motorcycle locks just weren’t cutting it. 
So, we researched and set out to build something better. 

Over 16 months, with a lot of coffee, head-scratching, and 37 design iterations (but who’s counting?), we developed what we believe is the strongest, smartest mechanical lock system for your front wheel.

We started by reverse engineering a standard wheel chock — then pushed it far beyond its limits. By studying what worked (and what didn’t), we rebuilt the concept from the ground up, integrating a full-strength locking system and ground anchor mechanism. The result is TufLuck: a next-generation security solution that’s just as practical as it is impenetrable.

Our design and manufacturing workshop? Sometimes it was a proper workshop, sometimes it was, well… my patio. Not exactly high-tech, but with a solid design, top-grade materials, and some brilliant experts on hand, it did the job

Prototype 1 - Design Version 24 a 5mm design modelled after a wheel chock.

We have learned a lot from our first prototype and we improved our next prototype to be more universal from 90mm front tyres to 120mm.

Prototype 2 - Design Version 37 a 6mm design that had many alterations and design changes along the months of development.

Theft Resistance That's Been Missing

We’re not stopping at strong. We’re going for Sold Secure Diamond certification, the highest standard in motorcycle security.

While official testing is pending, we’ve consulted directly with Sold Secure officials and industry experts. Everyone agrees: TufLuck is on track to exceed the toughest standards, and we aim to deliver again on this promise.

We also have been discussing the possibility of BikeSocial Destruction testing to be booked for our prototype. Just as we have did with our first product.

Hardened Locking Pin

The locking is done by a hardened 25mm locking PIN, and a Italian Monoblock padlock with hidden shackle. This padlock was specifically picked to hide the shackle, and has a perfect flush underside for the best fit.

Protectors

The hardened locking PIN is inserted through the body of TufLuck and on the outside its protected by 2 sheets of 6 mm steel. These are protecting the padlock from impact and cutting tools. Also restricting easy access to the locking PIN.

The Floor

The floor is made of the same 6mm steel, and its seam welded to the sides. The sides slot in to the base before welding to help with side impacts and seating of the sides.
There are multiple holes that can be used to secure TufLuck to the floor using M12 anchor bolts ( 5 included ) 

The Anchor Bolts

The securing bolts as shown here in red are used to secure TufLuck to the floor. The top 3 bolts are hidden / restricted when the lock is being used by a motorbike, and they aren't removable. However for extra security user can replace the anchor bolts with secure ones.

Built In Security

If the locking PIN is inserted in the lower "LOCKED" setting on TufLuck as shown below, it will restrict the removal of the two bolts, making it difficult to steal TufLuck when no motorbike is being locked in.

Universal Sizing

While TufLuck was designed for 600cc+ bikes, it will fit 90mm to 130mm front tyre widths. There are a few location holes to move the wheel chock for wheel sizes of 15 to 21 inches. 

Wheel Chock

The built in wheel chock and the design of TufLuck make it easy to keep your bike upright while its locked. Its the perfect way to store your bike, saving you space in your garage, while still allowing you to use a rear paddock stand if needed.
